The boys at Hennessey Performance in Houston have been showing off their Venom GT supercar for almost a year now. We know it is fast. But in case we weren't convinced, they sent us this video of the speedometer going from 70 mph to 215 mph in about 10 seconds, complete with sound.

Saleen is best known for its red-hot Mustangs, but at New York it revealed an American supercar concept to rival the Europeans. Its S5S Raptor is around the same size as a Ferrari 430, and should be close to the same price, but boasts 175bhp more. It’s powered by a Saleen-built supercharged 6.0-litre V8, that will run on ethanol (like an increasing number of race cars).
And so it's nearly here. We've seen study vehicles, concepts, pre-production models and even an exclusive viewing, but the wait is finally over. The BMW i3 electric car has made its first appearance to a wider audience at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
